A handful of United States marketing agencies state painting contractors as a trade they serve, and only some of them name an AI search or GEO service on their own site. We checked each company's website on 2026-09-28 and recorded what it states about trades, AI services and pricing. Nothing below is a ranking or a judgment about quality. It is a record of what each agency publishes, so a painting business owner can shortlist in one sitting instead of a week of sales calls.
Here's the short version:
- Plenty of home service agencies exist, but far fewer name painting contractors specifically on their site.
- Of the ones that do, some name an answer engine or generative engine optimization service and some do not name any AI search service at all.
- Most do not publish pricing on their site, which makes comparison slow.
How we built this list
We started from one filter: does the agency state painting or painting contractors as a trade it serves, in writing, on its own website. That removes a lot of noise. An agency that lists HVAC, plumbing and roofing may do fine work, but if painting is not on its site we have no published basis to include it here.
From there we recorded two more things for each agency. First, whether it names an AI search service, meaning something like AI Search Optimization, Answer Engine Optimization, Generative Engine Optimization or an equivalent named offering. Second, whether it publishes pricing where a visitor can read it without a call. Where a site does not publish pricing, we say exactly that.
We did not evaluate results, client lists, staff or anything a site does not state. If you want our broader view of how AI answers are reshaping local search before you compare vendors, our write up on how to get recommended by ChatGPT as a painting contractor covers the mechanics in plain language.
What AI visibility work actually involves for a painting company
Homeowners now ask ChatGPT and other AI tools who to hire. That means a painting company can be invisible in an AI answer while still ranking on Google Maps, and the owner has no way of knowing unless someone is checking.
We track AI visibility for clients across six AI engines every month. The method is simple to describe: a set of real customer prompts for the client's trade and cities, run on a schedule, recording whether the business was named, where in the answer it appeared, and which sources the answer cited. That last part matters most. Across more than 70,000 AI citations we have tracked for clients, Houzz and Reddit come up as cited sources far more than anything else, followed by directories and best of articles. If your name is absent from the places an engine reads, it has nothing to pull you from.
The underlying site still carries weight. Every site we build ships with structured data and an llms.txt file for AI crawlers, along with clear service pages, city relevance, internal linking and fast load times. Our AI Search Visibility work sits on top of that foundation rather than replacing it.

A few details worth knowing as you read that table.
Footbridge Media was founded in 2004 and lists painting among its trades along with cleaning, decking, general contracting, pressure washing and others. Its site names Answer Engine Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization, and states no contracts or start up fees and a 90 day money back guarantee.
Valve + Meter was founded in 2017 in Indianapolis and lists painting alongside HVAC, plumbing, roofing and more. Its named AI offering is AI Search Optimization for Home Services, described on the site as generative engine optimization, also called answer engine optimization, AEO SEO, GEO SEO, LLM SEO or LLM optimization.
Painter Marketing Pros states it works exclusively with painting contractors. Its services include website design, SEO, Google Ads, reputation and reviews management and Google Local Services Ads. The site says each package is custom tailored and pricing depends on geographic region.
Blue Corona was founded in 2007 by Ben Landers in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and lists painting among a long set of trades. Its site states that Blue Corona and RYNO Strategic Solutions have merged and operate under the RYNO Strategic Solutions brand, and that there are no long term contracts.

What TwentyOne Solutions does, and what it costs
We wrote this article. TwentyOne Solutions is a local SEO and AI visibility agency for contractors and the trades, based in San Clemente, California, founded by Tyler Huff. Painting contractors are one of our core trades, along with paving and concrete, line striping, HVAC and plumbing, landscape and hardscape, fence and deck, pressure washing, remodelers, custom home builders and general and commercial contractors. All of the work is done remotely and every ranking scan covers the client's own service area. Clients run from San Diego to Los Angeles and Pasadena to the Bay Area and Lake Tahoe, plus Nevada, Florida and South Carolina.
We publish our pricing instead of making you sit through a sales call to hear a number. Intro SEO is $279 a month. Local SEO Lite is $499 a month. Local SEO Full is $979 a month. Every plan includes a custom website with service and location pages, unlimited site updates, and a one time setup fee. Plans start with a six month commitment so the work has time to compound, then run month to month, and SEO plans include a three month out. If there is no measurable improvement by month three, you can stop. You own the domain, website, content, reviews and assets, and they stay yours.
Results we publish: Ceiling Pro is the number one ceiling company on Google across the Bay Area. American Curb Appeal went from invisible to top three citywide. Coastal Comfort, an HVAC and plumbing client in San Diego, went from 2 percent to 43 percent of tracked AI answers naming them. West Coast Washers, a commercial pressure washing client, ranks in the top 3 across Los Angeles month after month.

FAQs
What is GEO, and how is it different from SEO?
GEO stands for generative engine optimization, the work of getting named inside AI generated answers rather than only in a list of blue links. Several agencies in the table above use the term, and others call the same idea answer engine optimization or AI search optimization. The two efforts overlap, since AI answers cite sources that traditional SEO also cares about.
Do I need a painting specialist agency or a general home services agency?
Both exist on this list. Painter Marketing Pros states it works exclusively with painting contractors, while Footbridge Media, Valve + Meter, Blue Corona, RSM Marketing and Contractor Gorilla list painting among several trades. Decide based on what each site actually publishes about services, pricing and terms.
How do I know if AI tools are recommending my painting company?
Someone has to ask the engines the way a customer would and record the answers. We run a set of real customer prompts for the client's trade and cities across six AI engines on a schedule, noting whether the business was named, where in the answer it appeared, and which sources the answer cited. Without that record, AI visibility is guesswork.
Why do so few of these agencies publish pricing?
We can only say what each site shows. As of 2026-09-28, Footbridge Media publishes $249 per month on its site, and we publish our plan prices on ours. The others in the table do not publish pricing on their site.
