AI Visibility Results
Real tracking numbers from four clients in four trades. The same questions every run, six AI engines, and the dips left in.
Data pulled September 13, 2026.
How We Measure It
Before you look at a single chart, here is exactly what the numbers mean. No blended score. Just AI answers, and how many of them named the business.
Visibility, defined
The share of AI answers, across a fixed set of tracked customer questions asked on ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Claude and Grok, in which the business is named. Each run asks the same questions, so runs of the same campaign are comparable.
What we count
Every run counts the AI answers that come back for a client and how many of them name the business. Visibility is that share, shown as a percentage.
Six engines
The tracked questions are asked on ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Claude and Grok.
Fixed questions per client
Each client has its own fixed set of tracked customer questions. When a set changes, we say so and do not compare runs across the change.
Where the numbers come from
Our AI visibility tracker. Every number on this page was pulled from it on September 13, 2026.
Read This First: AI Answers Swing
AI answers vary from run to run. The same question on the same engine can come back with a different set of names the next time it is asked.
We see it in every campaign we track, including the one we run on our own business.
So a single run can over or understate where a business really stands. Treat trends over months as meaningful and single points as noisy. That is how we read our own numbers, and it is how you should read the ones below.
It is also why the dips stay in:
Ceiling Pro went from 44% on May 18, 2026 (42 of 96 answers) to 40% on May 28 (38 of 95) before reaching 67% on August 4 (64 of 96).
Huff Painting went from 14% on May 18, 2026 (5 of 36) to 8% on June 3 (3 of 36) before reaching 31% on August 4 (11 of 36).
Coastal Comfort San Diego, three runs in a row
11% to 7% to 43%
June 20, 2026: 11%, named in 4 of 35 answers
July 14, 2026: 7%, named in 3 of 42 answers
August 25, 2026: 43%, named in 18 of 42 answers
Judged on the July run alone, it would have looked like a step backward. One good run or one bad run tells you very little. Look at the direction over months.
Client Results
Four clients, four trades, four markets. Each chart plots only runs on the same question set, so every bar can be compared to the one next to it. Every client here has at least two comparable runs.
All charts use the same 0 to 100% scale, so bar heights also compare from one card to the next.
Coastal Comfort San Diego
San Diego County, CA
of AI answers named the business, May 9 to August 25, 2026.
First comparable run
May 9, 2026
1 of 42 answers
Latest comparable run
August 25, 2026
18 of 42 answers
Why earlier runs are not shown
On May 9, 2026 the question set was expanded from 24 answers per run to 42, so runs before that date are not comparable and are not plotted. For the record, Coastal Comfort was named in 0 of 24 answers on April 28 and May 7, 2026. The June 20 run returned 35 answers instead of 42, and its 11% is figured on those 35.
Ceiling Pro
San Francisco Bay Area, CA
of AI answers named the business, May 18 to August 4, 2026.
First comparable run
May 18, 2026
42 of 96 answers
Latest comparable run
August 4, 2026
64 of 96 answers
A note on answer counts
The May 28, 2026 run returned 95 answers instead of 96, and its 40% is figured on those 95.
American Curb Appeal
Tallahassee, FL
of AI answers named the business, May 9 to August 4, 2026.
First comparable run
May 9, 2026
39 of 72 answers
Latest comparable run
August 4, 2026
48 of 72 answers
Huff Painting
Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley, CA
of AI answers named the business, May 5 to August 4, 2026.
First comparable run
May 5, 2026
5 of 36 answers
Latest comparable run
August 4, 2026
11 of 36 answers
Why the latest run is not shown
Every run through August 4, 2026 collected 36 answers. The August 9, 2026 run doubled to 72 answers, so it is not comparable and is not plotted.
What These Numbers Do Not Promise
Results vary by market, by trade and by where a business starts. Look at the first bars. Ceiling Pro was named in 44% of answers on its first comparable run, May 18, 2026 (42 of 96). Coastal Comfort San Diego was named in 2% on May 9, 2026 (1 of 42). Same measurement, very different starting lines.
Where a business starts is where it starts. That is why the first run matters: it is the line every later run gets compared to.
None of this is a guarantee. Nobody can make an AI engine name a business. We work on what the engines read, then track the answers the same way every run so the trend is there for you to see.
What the Work Looks Like
We do not claim to know how any engine ranks businesses internally. Our approach is to make accurate information about a business easy to find and consistent everywhere it appears. The work is practical:
Complete, consistent business listings on Google Business Profile, Yelp, Apple Business Connect, Bing and the other places your business shows up.
A real, active Google Business Profile, with reviews that describe the actual work you did.
A website that answers customer questions directly, with clear service and service area pages.
Structured data that spells out who you are, what you do and where. Our free local business schema template is a good start.
Mentions on the third party sites AI engines read.
